before you tell me your story, let me tell you mine
I've always been very curious about people’s stories and where they come from. I come from a loving but broken home — a family riddled with addiction. I've seen the affects of generational trauma and relationships lacking in boundaries first hand. I started my own journey of healing at the age of 25 when my own using had hit an all time high. I attended Al-Anon and ACOA meetings religiously and became aware, through therapy, of my own trauma and codependency. What I had deemed, at the time, to be broken, actually turned out to be my breakthrough. I have now been sober for almost 20 years. I have a loving husband, three kids, and three dogs. I have been in private practice for around 20 years and continue to do the work in healing my own trauma — as well as helping others find ways to heal theirs.
